About the event
Join us for an immersive evening curated by Kayla "Rose" Magee of 2WO Unit, as we explore and celebrate the impact of South, it's identity, and community. This event honors the courage of those who left their Southern homes in search of new opportunities, while also highlighting how they carried the essence of the South with them, creating new, vibrant communities across the country.
Event Highlights:
Live Music: Enjoy soulful melodies by Ann McPhail and saxophonist Justin Gilber, accompanied by the smooth saxophone sounds of Justin Gilber.
Poetry: We will share powerful spoken word piece from MAE that capture the spirit and resilience of the Great Migration.
Refreshments: Small bites and wine will be served throughout the evening.
