Seeking Discomfort Art Exhibition by RODNEY ELLIS

This exhibition is marks a pivotal moment in the evolution of my work, acting as an introspective pause. The theme of this collection spans through my journey from my earliest explorations to the present, highlighting the quiet tension of self discovery, the struggle of acceptance, and the freedom that comes with growth.

The works in this exhibition invite the viewer into a conversation about the complexities of the human experience. A story that for most, started with much uncertainty, but with each passing day gains more clarity. Through dark tones and fleeting moments of vulnerability in my earlier works, to the emerging light and resilience found in my later works, this exhibition acts as an archive and a celebration. It’s an honest and ever-changing narrative of who I have been and who i am becoming.
